Job Application
Honor Title Application

Games Colony welcomes employees from all countries, all age groups, and all job backgrounds.

Any job and promotions in Games Colony are based on the skills and dedication to performing the job of the applicant.

Games Colony does not differentiate based on experience points (i.e. there is no minimum experience for BD or ANY other colony job), or where a person lives in the world, or their age, and jobs are not given based on who is friends with whom.

- While posting on public message boards, you represent Games colony and no Games citizen shall engage in posts which slander city officials or other citizens, regardless of which Colony or job title they hold, if any. Doing so will result in immediate dismissal at the CL's sole discretion.

- Staff other than BL or BD should not leave themselves listed in Block access. NO other names should be listed there including, NDs and NL

- Do not tick any access boxes on block or hood boards.

- No employer in Games Colony can require an applicant or employee under the age of 13 to give out their email address. If they voluntarily give this out that is fine, but you may not require it.

- We do not allow the same nick to hold two different hood based jobs simultaneously. We do allow your alternate nick to hold a job as long as that job is not equal to your first nick (eg..one can be ND and one BL)

- Mates can work together in the same hood.(eg. one NL one ND..ect.)If this rule causes serious problems in Games, it will be removed. The exception to this rule is a Hood CD cannot cover a hood of her/his mate.

- All staff working as ND or above are encouraged to give their email address. This is in order to improve communication and enable us to manage the colony better.

- A member of staff going away for a holiday, or for business reasons, who cannot therefore access CT, should inform their line manager and change their home name to reflect they are away and when they expect to return. In the event this period is extended it is reasonable to expect to loose your post unless you negotiate an extension. Non attendance in CT without notice CAN result in job loss after seven consecutive days of absence.

- In the event that you experience a problem please follow the chain of command. NL to contact their CD..ect.  Contact your CL or security for a serious problem.

- When Colony meetings occur all NLs should try their best to attend, but in the event that the NL can not attend they should ask a ND to give the hood report. If no one is available please contact your CD and ask him/her to give the hood report, basically a summary of what has been going on in the hood, events, new staff, new websites, ect.

- Staff with responsibility for, or working within, one hood should not involve themselves in the dealings of another hood. In the event you become aware of a problem in another hood, please contact that hoods NL and the CD covering the hood. In the event it is a serious problem relating to the safety of the hood please also copy your letter to the Guardian CD, the Deputy CL, and the CL.

- We do not overtly approach staff from another Colony with the intention of hiring them to a more senior post in Games. For vacant posts we will use the applications received from which to recruit. We do not advertise for staff on MB's outside of Games.

- Anyone accused of abusing their authority, or power, within the colony, will face an investigation and could loose their job and or receive a ban as a result of being found guilty.

- NL's are responsible for managing there own hoods, however, they should inform their CD of any changes to the themes of blocks, etc.

- The NL is expected to send their CD a bi-monthly report on their hood, this should include details of staff changes, current vacancies, resident numbers, etc. Please contact your acting CD for more detailed info.

- The NL must join the joint NL-CD group.

- All changes to a neighborhood's appearance, whether it be to the hoods website, map, or message board, must be viewable by Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, so that all our CT viewers may be able to see it without errors. Furthermore, all hood maps, and their coding, MUST be submitted to the tech CD for approval.

- Complaints against a staff memeber should be inboxed to the CL, not posted on the Colony or Hood MBs.

- Games Colony requires the security record of anyone applying for a position at ND level or above to be checked before the person can be hired to that position. If that record is found to be marked with an offense, then the applicant may only be considered if the ban is over 6 months old, or at the discretion of the CL or CD.

- Checks are NOT required for BL or BD positions unless the NL or CD has reason to be suspicious.

- Checks may ONLY be requested by an NL or higher.

- Colony staff will ONLY give or refuse clearance to hire an individual, details of any offenses may not be disclosed.

- NL's have to train their own ND's and other staff. It is that hood's CD who makes sure that this has been done properly.

- Slander of any kind on the message boards or public chat is not allowed and will be treated seriously.

- Signatures must not show nudity or be offensive in any way for a family oriented site. Any application form, listed outside the signature is consider poaching and not acceptable.
